Course Overview

Human Resources professionals regularly manage large amounts of employee information, from personnel records and recruitment trackers to attendance reports, performance results, compensation data, and workforce summaries. However, many HR teams still rely on separate spreadsheets, inconsistent formats, manual updates, and repetitive reporting processes.

As a result:

  • Employee records become difficult to maintain and verify.
  • Recruitment and onboarding updates require repeated manual consolidation.
  • Attendance, attrition, and headcount reports take too much time to prepare.
  • Performance and compensation data are stored but not easily summarized.
  • HR teams spend more time fixing spreadsheets than using the information they contain.

People Data in Practice: Managing HR Data with Excel is a highly practical, hands-on Excel course designed for HR beginners who want to improve the way they organize, clean, manage, analyze, and report people data.

The course focuses primarily on essential Excel skills and data management techniques, using common HR files and scenarios as practical applications. Participants will work with employee records, recruitment data, attendance and attrition information, performance results, compensation records, and other HR datasets.

Rather than focusing heavily on HR theories or policies, the program equips participants with practical spreadsheet skills they can immediately apply to their daily work. By the end of the course, participants will be able to create cleaner HR databases, reduce manual work, summarize workforce information, and prepare more reliable reports using Excel.
